Marjorie Lorene Wurzbacher was born on October 30, 1923, in Unionville, Missouri, to Earl and Norma (Burns) Gillum. She grew up and graduated from high school there. She went to Seattle, WA, and worked at the Naval Air Station during WWII. It was there that she met the love of her life, Frank Wurzbacher, and they were married on October 6, 1944, in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in East Grand Forks, MN, where they made their home following his honorable discharge from military service. They moved to Moorhead, MN, in 1952 and lived there until 1969, when they moved to Sartell, MN, as Frank was transferred with the railroad. Frank died on June 10, 1992, and she returned to Moorhead, MN. For the past three years, she had been living with her daughter, Catherine Stockstad in Moorhead.
