She was born January 2, 1943 in Yates Center, the daughter of Aaron and Rebecca (Park) Hamilton. Millie attended Yates Center High School, graduating in 1961. On June 25, 1961 she was united in marriage to William "Bill" Cole in Osage City, Kansas. After her marriage she and Bill ran a restaurant in Madison, Kansas. In 1969 they moved to Eureka. Millie worked in various jobs including daycare, waitress, a flooring store, and rebuilding saddles. On September 1, 1975 the couple opened their own auto repair shop and tow service. Millie was the bookkeeper and mechanic and helping the business in all aspects. Millie retired in 2013.
Millie was a member of the Jefferson Street Baptist Church. She served as treasurer for the church for 20 years. She also was a great supporter of Crime Stoppers and was involved in it's operation in Greenwood County.
She is survived by her husband; three children; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and three sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and four sisters.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 A.M., December 11, 2013 in Eureka, with Pastor Alan Hunter officiating. Interment was held at the Greenwood Cemetery.
