He proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Army for many years during WWII. He and his late wife, Vera, and their four daughters moved to Taft in the mid 1960's. Mr. Wright worked for many years at Lunsford Tank Lines until he became a Foreman for Johnson's Vacuum Truck Service until he retired on September 30, 1985. His wife, Vera L. Wright, preceded him in death in November 1997 and by his daughter, Carla Crawford, in November 2001. As a longtime Taft resident he will be missed and loved by many that knew him.
