TEXAS CITY-Funeral services for John Tulp Sr., 2922 Tarpey Ave., have been scheduled for 2 p.m. today In the chapel of
James Crowder Funeral Home, the Rev. Dan Scheumack officiating. Burial will follow at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock.
Mr. Tulp died Thursday at Memorial Hospital of Galveston County. He was 79. Born Jan. 26, 1900 in Chicago, 111., Mr. Tulp was a boilermaker, He was a member of Boilermaker's Local 132 of Gatveston and a Texas City resident of 22 years. He was a member of Trinity Full Gospel Church of Texas City.
Surviving are a daughter, Hazel Thomas of Texas City; a son, John Tulp Jr. of La Marque; a brother, Chris W. Tulp of La Marque; plus three grandchildren, five greatgrandchildren and other relatives.
