Mrs. Hugo (Edna) Behringer, 84, formerly of 2702 Raven Ave, Wausau, was dead on arrival at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield at 5:10 PM on Monday, January 1st, 1978.
The former Edna Koespel was born on June 10, 1893 in Manitowoc County, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Koespel. On January 21, 1912 while in Manitowoc County she married Hugo Behringer, he died in February of 1977.
Survivors include her three sons, Merlin of Colby, Robert of Mazomanie, and Harvey or Stratford; four daughters, Mrs. Rupert Smith of Kansas City, CO; Mrs. Adrian Waniger of Stratford; Mrs. Lester Awe of Manitowoc; and Mrs. Kenneth Talcott of Route 6, Mosinee. She is further survived by three brothers, Arno Koespel and Alvin Koespel both of Arizona and Raymond Koespel of Sheyboygan; two sisters, Mrs. Leona Schroeder and Mrs. Gerta Cummings, both of Manitowoc, 18 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, January 4th, 1978 at the Beste Funeral Home in Mosinee. The Rev. Kenneth Dix of Colby officiated and burial was in the Mosinee Cemetery.
