Margaret Irene Edwards Alexander, 61, of Apartment 6, Pickens Gardens Apartments, widow of Lewis Levi Alexander, Sr., died Sunday.

She was a native of Spartanburg County and was the daughter of the late William and Anna B. West Edwards. Mrs. Alexander was a member of Blue Ridge View Baptist Church.

Surviving are two sons Wayne E. and Timothy R. Alexander of Pickens; three step sons, Jerry T. Alexander of Taylors, Jimmy D. Alexander of Los Angeles, California and Lewis L. Alexander, Jr. of Greenville; two step daughters, Lovell A. Byars of Easley, Mary A. Luker of Greenville; two sisters, Virginia Folio of Atlanta, Ga., and Lulabell Henson of Orlando Fla.; one brother Felton Edwards of Greenville; seven step-grandchildren and two step-great grandchildren.

Private funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 PM on Wednesday at the Jones Mortuary Chapel by the Rev. Barry Dilworth, and Rev. Bill Anthony with burial in Mauldin United Methodist Cemetery.

The body is at the mortuary where the family will be receiving friends from 7 to 8 PM Tuesday.

The family will be at the residence, Apartment 6, Pickens Garden Apartments, Pickens.
