Lee Edward Bryan, 86, Bellefonte, died at his residence on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2005. He was born on Sept. 11, 1919, in Curtin, to the late John Edward and Anna Ruth Yeager Bryan. On July 10,1981, he married Catherine "Babs" Watkins, who survives at home. He served in the United State Navy during WWII. He was employed at Cerro Metal as a machine operator, retiring after 35 years. He was an avid reader and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was the last of his generation. In addition to his wife, he is survived by five sons; Marvin "Bud" Bryan of Bellefonte, William "Bill" Bryan and his wife Gloria of Milesburg, Thomas Bryan of Bellefonte, John Bryan and his wife Donna of Howard, and Rodney Bryan and his wife Karen of State College; two daughters, Bonnie Wolfe of Bellefonte, and Patricia "Pat" DeBrasky and her husband Joe of Bellefonte; four stepchildren, William "Poss" Watkins and his wife Shirley of Woodward, Gilbert "Abe" Watkins of Bellefonte, Dianne "Dine" Matis and her husband Joe of Bellefonte, and Tracy Watkins and her companion Skip Holderman of Pleasant Gap; 30 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Miriam Palmer; four brothers; four sisters and one granddaughter. Funeral Monday, Nov. 7, at Mark D.
