Bob was born March 5, 1945, in Clovis, California to Paul and Arvita Buxton. He was retired from Greyhound Bus Lines; served in the United States Air Force and was a Baptist by faith. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Paul Buxton and Charlie Johnson.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Buxton of Atlanta, Texas; one son, Robert Buxton, Jr. of Atlanta, Texas; three daughters, Tania Nelson of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Sonya Bowles of Atlanta, Texas, Alicia Hochmuth of Atlanta, Texas; eighteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
