Roger L. Diedrich, 52, of Green Bay, passed away on Tuesday, December 31 due to complications from a bone marrow transplant and leukemia.Roger was born on April 1, 1961 in Manitowoc, WI to Raymond and Genevieve (Benishek) Diedrich. He graduated from Valders High School in 1979 and UW-Madison in 1983. Roger began his career as a mechanical engineer at Sargent & Lundy in Chicago, IL. In 1988, Roger moved to Appleton, WI and started working for Metso where he remained working until his illness.Roger was a very devoted and caring husband, father and stepfather. Family gatherings and cheering his children and stepchildren on at their many activities brought him great joy. He was immensely proud of everything they did. Family traditions were also important to Roger. Cutting down the Christmas tree, vacationing in Door County, watching Packer games and going to Wisconsin Dells were a few of his favorite family activities.

Roger is survived by his loving wife of eight years, Kim; daughters, Kristen Diedrich, Nashua, NH; Carly Diedrich, Appleton; stepson and stepdaughter, Lance Kaster and Mallory Kaster, both of Green Bay; mother, Genevieve "Jean," Valders; brothers, Richard (Kathy) Diedrich, Rochester, MN; Ronald (Paula) Diedrich, Shorewood, MN; Randy (Megan) Diedrich, Valrico, FL; sister, Ann (Scott) MacMillan, Beloit, WI; mother-in-law, Margaret Swanson, DeKalb, IL; brother-in-law, Steve (Joanne) Swanson, Laguna Niguel, CA; nieces and nephews, Michael (Danielle), Alex, Amanda, Nathan, Lauren Diedrich, Jeremy and Jamie MacMillan, and Jordan Spriggs; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Roger was preceded in death by his father, Ray.

Burial will take place in the Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
