Ella Lee Bauer passed away January 2, 2014, at her home in Nowata surrounded by her family and friends. She was born October 11, 1927, in Colorado, to Jesse Clarence and Nora Ada Allen. Lee attended and graduated from Nowata High School. Lee lived many years in Las Vegas, Nevada. She worked for casino's doing whatever they needed and worked her way up to card dealer and later was promoted to floor manager. She was the first casino floor manager in Las Vegas. Lee also owned a dry cleaning business as well as a limo business doing much of the work herself. She was a very hard worker and her work ethic was second to none. In her spare time Lee loved to read the paper and drink coffee. She enjoyed flowers and planted roses around her home. Lee loved her family so very much and caring for them was something she held near to her heart. Lee moved back to Nowata after the death of her mother. She stayed active up until the time of her death and traveled back to Vegas several times always driving herself. She cared very deeply for the people around her and will be missed by all who knew her.
