WESTON - Albert R. Wiant, Jr., 60, of Miamisburg, Ohio, died Monday, August 6, in the Veterans Administration Hospital in Dayton, Ohio.
He was born May 4, 1924, in Lewis County, a son of Albert R. Wiant, Sr., and Hila Rogers Wiant, who survive in Weston.
He is also survived by his wife, Marion Wiant, Miamisburg; three daughters, Mrs. Susie Carpenter, Mrs. Ann Conrad, both of Weston and Mrs. Elizabeth Rigsby, Forrest, Ohio; four sons, Robert Wiant, Miamisburg, Steven Wiant, Weston, Ronnie Wiant, Orlando, Richard Wiant, White Sulphur Springs; two step-sons, Karl and David Frybarger; four stepdaughters, Carol, Nancy, Kathy, and Becky, all of Ohio; six sisters, Mrs. Leona Mick, Mrs. Marie Waugh, Mrs. Nora Burkhammer, Mildred Snyder, all of Weston, Mrs. Rubalee Metz, Willis, Va., Mrs. Irene Messenger, Ohio; two brothers, Virgil Waugh, Rock Cave, William Hayward Wiant, Weston; five grandchildren and several step-grandchildren.
Mr. Wiant was a retired mechanic, a veteran of World War II, and a member of the American Legion.
Services were held Wednesday, Aug. 8 in Miamisburg, Ohio and interment followed in the Royal Oak Memorial Gardens, Brookville, Ohio.
