DURAND - Mrs. Addey E. Kinney, 72, of Route 2, died Wednesday in Wheat Ridge, Colo., after a short illness.
She was born March 18, 1903, in Roscoe, the daughter of Thomas and [Dieudonnee] Coffin Lyford. She was married to Burrell Kinney in Rockford, Nov. 22, 1925.
She was a teacher in the rural Durand and Shirland districts for 35 years, retiring in 1947. She was a member of the Durand United Methodist Church, the Order of Eastern Star, the White Shrine of Jerusalem Palestine Lodge of Beloit, the Illinois Homemakers Extension Federation of Winnebago County.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Donna McGeachie of Fort Myers, Fla., and Mrs. Diane Andres of Evergreen Colo.; two sons, Lynn of Mariacopa, Ariz., and Gerald of Durand; 14 grandchildren, four brothers, Harley of Beloit, Sylvester and Roland of Poplar Grove, Ill., James of Rockford; a sister, Mrs. Rachel Chamberlain of Loves Park. A brother and sister are deceased.
Services will be Saturday at 1 pm. in the McCorkle Funeral Home. Burial will be in Laona Cemetery.
Friends may call Friday from 7-9 p.m. in the funeral home with Eastern Star Services at 8 p.m.
