Marcel A. DeWaegenaere, 83, a 51-year resident of St. Clair Shores, died Thursday, Nov. 3, 2005, at St. Joseph's Medical Center, Clinton Township. He was born April 16, 1922, in Detroit.
Mr. DeWaegenaere was a faithful employee for more than 50 years to DeGrendel Building Supply, his family said. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Bruce Post and a member of the Belgian American Association and the St. Charles Beneficial Society. He also enjoyed golf.

He is survived by his children, Sharon (Dave) Turner and Michael DeWaegenaere; grandchildren, Jason Turner and Jennifer White; great-grandchildren, Daniel, Sara, Lauren and Rachel; sister, Mary Ann Osborne; and special friend, Helen Melton. He was predeceased by his wives, Elaine and Melvina; and sister, Marceline Ferrara.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Road, Clinton Township, with the Rev. Gary Morelli officiating. Burial will take place in White Chapel Cemetery, Troy.
