Andrew J. Bear, retired painter and decorator living at 1010 East Forrest Hill avensue died at 9:25 a.m. Today at St. Francis hospital following an illness of 5 weeks.
Born in Eyota, Minn., May 29, 1859, he was a son of Benjamin and Maria [Hatch] Bear. He resided in Bradenton, Fla. for 26 years before moving to Peoria 18 years ago. He was married to Mrs. Emma Plue here in 1923.
Surviving besides his wife are five daughters by a former marriage [Anna Margaret Brannan Bear]; Mrs. Laila Miller, Mrs. Benine Lee, Mrs. Gertrude Curry, Mrs Margie Braun and Mrs. Mina Rogers, all of Bradenton, Fla/ five sisters, Mrs. Mina Dunn,and Mrs Minnie Hayden of Nokomis, Fla., Mrs. Nettie Woods, St. Paul, Minn. Mrs Martha Stinchfield and Mrs. Sarah Gerry of Rochester, Minn; two brothers, Frank, Eyota and Dr. Homer Bear, Peoria, and several grandchildren.
