Robert W. Crudder, 79, a 20-year New Baltimore resident, died Tuesday, May 11, 2004, in St. Joseph's Mercy of Macomb hospital, Clinton Township. He was born Feb. 28, 1925, in Detroit.
Mr. Crudder served in the U.S. Army during World War II in Germany and France, where he was awarded three Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart. Relatives said he will be missed by his lifelong friend, Bill Little.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; children, Caroly (Louis) Crudder, Jean Leach, Kathy Crudder, Robert Crudder Jr. and Michael (Kim) Crudder; granddaughter, Stephanie Leach; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday in Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Roseville, with the Rev. Robert Schuster officiating. Burial will be in Oakview Cemetery, Royal Oak.
Visitation is 3-9 p.m. Thursday at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield, Clinton Township. Additional visitation is 9-10 a.m. Friday in the church.
