"After a lingering illness for many months with a complication of diseases Mrs. Sarah Carden died at the home of her son Mr. Henry Carden, five miles north of Seale Monday evening at 3 o'clock. She is survived by only the one son with whom she lived and who has the sympathy of the community in his hour of grief. Her remains were interred in the family burying ground Tuesday morning."
