Emil Hart Dies Following Stroke
Emil Hart a former Genoa resident, died at his home in San Diego California at 1:30 a.m. Friday according to a report received here from Mrs. Hart. Funeral services were held on Monday and interment was made in San Diego. Shortly after Mr. and Mrs. Hart moved to California four years ago, Mr. Hart suffered a stroke of paralysis from which he never fully recovered. The second stroke occurred Friday and he was taken to the hospital but the stroke proved fatal. He was about 60 years of age. He was in business in Genoa many years, operating a filling station, dealing in coal, and running a soft drink parlor. His wife, one daughter Mildred Beer of Annapolis, and one son Earl, who is in an army camp near San Diego survive him.

J. Emil Hart was born March 5, 1879 in Shenandoah, Iowa and died December 20, 1940 in San Diego County, California. He married Alice Schram in March 1911. Children: Earl Delbert and Mildred Marie.
