Theresa I. Nabity, of St. Libory, Nebraska, died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at her home. Theresa was born on Dec. 22, 1929, at Elba, Nebraska, the daughter of John A. and Selma Anastasia (Stefanowicz) Radke.

Theresa was united in marriage to Lawrence S. Nabity on Sept. 17, 1949, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Elba, Nebraska. He preceded her in death on April 30, 2013.

Theresa is survived by: sons and daughters-in-law, Larry Nabity of Alcester, South Dakota, Tom & Pam Nabity of Hawarden, Iowa, Don & Anita Nabity of Grand Island, Nebraska, Frank Nabity of Haysville, Kansas and Arnold Nabity of Petersburg, Virginia; daughters and sons-in-law, Jeanette & Tom Tichenor of Derby, Kansas, Sylvia & Larry Frustaglio of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, Nancy Maldonado of Victorville, California, Marylyn & Lonnie Ehlers of Aurora, Nebraska, Carol & Roy Williams of Coweta, Oklahoma and Ann & Monty Herrick of Alda, Nebraska; sisters and brother-in-law, Zeta Layher of Elba, Nebraska and Virginia & Gary Powers of Frederick, Colorado; 30 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

Theresa grew up in Elba, Nebraska where she attended school and graduated from Elba (NE.) High School in 1947. She then worked at a bank in Grand Island, Nebraska.

After her marriage to Lawrence, the couple farmed near Elba, Nebraska for 10 years and in 1960 moved to a farm southwest of St. Libory, Nebraska where they lived and raised their family.

She was a member of St. Libory's Catholic Church, St. Libory, Nebraska and its Council of Catholic Women and was CCD coordinator for 10 years. She was also an honorary FFA Chapter member and member of Carl Mogensen American Legion Auxiliary Unit 119, St. Paul, Nebraska.

Theresa loved and enjoyed her family, card games, crossword puzzles, BINGO, watching game shows and gardening.

theresa was preceded in death by: Husband; parents; sons, Roger, Michael and Timothy Nabity; great-granddaughter, Katelin Lahm and sisters, Rita Radke, Angie Path, Bernadette Etjen and Mae Ann Jeratowski.

Services were at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Libory's Catholic Church, St. Libory, Nebraska. The Rev. Sidney B. Bruggeman officiated.

Burial was in St. Libory's Catholic Cemetery, St. Libory, Nebraska.
