Bennie Martinson, 92, of Eveleth, formerly of Biwabik, died Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, at WillowWood Assisted Living in Eveleth. He was born Feb. 22, 1921, in Roseau, Minn., to Simon and Martha Martinson.
He attended country school near Greenbush, Minn., and worked on the family potato farm.
On Aug. 13, 1960, he married Loretta Krause. Bennie worked for Erie Mining Co. as a blaster until his retirement. During retirement, he and his wife enjoyed raising dogs.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
Burial was in the Forest Hill Cemetery in International Falls.
