Funeral services for Carrie A.K. Wollesen, 75, of Lake View were held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 18, 1994 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Lake View. Pastor H.W. Kramer officiated. Mrs. Wollesen passed away Tuesday, March 15, 1994, at Stewart Memorial Hospital in Lake City.

Music was by organist James Stock, soloist Mrs. Ron Bettin and congregational singing. Mrs. Ron Bettin and Mrs. Delmer Huisenga were in charge of floral arrangements.

Honorary attendants were Leonard Schwanz, Herman Schwanz, Ray Larsen, Duane Mohr, Leonard Goyer and Marvin Weitzel.

Pallbearers were Jeff Hunt, Darrell Kluver, Ron Bettin, Eric Wollesen, Mike Wollesen, and Steve Hedberg. Interment was in Wall Lake Cemetery under the direction of Farber & Otteman Funeral Home.

Carrie Ann Katherina Wollesen as born in Herring, Ia., on March 22, 1918, the daughter of Arthur and Mary Katherine Schwanz Hedberg. She was baptized in the Presbyterian church in Breda and confirmed in May of 1931 in the Presbyterian church in Odebolt. She married Alfred Wollesen in Maryville, Mo., on December 20, 1941. The couple resided in Lake View.

Mrs. Wollesen was a homemaker.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Emmanuel Lutheran Ladies Aid. Her hobbies included playing cards and bingo.

Survivors include her husband, Alfred; two sons, Donald and Charles, both of Lake View; five grandchildren: Mike Wollesen of St. Cloud, Fla., Jackie Haley of Lake View, Kimberly Wollesn of Coon Rapids, and Eric and Deb Wollesen, both of Lake View; four great-grandchildren: Natalie and Anthony of St. Cloud and Natasha and Matthew of Lake View; three sisters: Irene Thormahlen of Chehalis, Wash., Gladys Jones of Sioux City and Norma Hunt of Lake View; and a brother, Henry Hedberg of Wall Lake.

She was preceded in death by her parents and five brothers: Melvin, Ernie, Roy, Ed and Rueben.
