She was the widow of Larry Crockett, and was marketing director for The Azalea Gardens Retirement Community in Oxford. She was a life-long artist, author and Oxford personality, former president of the Oxford Artists Guild and the 50th Regent of the David Reese Chapter of the DAR, and an original founder of Oxford's Art and All That Jazz Celebration on the Square.
Services were held at 2 p.m. on Sept. 26 at C.O. Pate Funeral Home Chapel, Senatobia. Burial was in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, near Senatobia. Rev. Gary Newton officiated.
She leaves two sons, Michael Crockett of Norfolk, Va., Phillip Crockett of Hendersonville, Tenn.
Pallbearers were Steven Smith, Jason Robinson, Stephen Ogg, Forrest Russell, Jay St. John, Billy Crockett. Honorary pallbearers were Bill Stewart, Mark Ursic.(The South Reporter, Holly Springs, MS)
