ERIC ALEXANDER GILMORE, was born on July 29,1961, at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, to the late Henry A. Gilmore and Doris E. Moore Gilmore Talley. Eric was the only child borne to their union.
On Friday, January 6,1995, GOD suddenly called Eric into HIS HEAVENLY HOME.
Eric spent a larger portion of his young life with his grand-mother, Josie and three aunts: Patsy, Elon and Annette. They were all raised like brothers and sisters.
Eric was Baptist in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ at the age of sixteen. Eric continued to pray for The Holy Spirit while attending The New Creation Christian Church
Eric was reared in the heart of East Baltimore and attended The Patterson High School. After Eric graduated, he later attended The Community College of Baltimore.
Baseball, basketball and chest was Eric's hobbies. Known for his "Bad" (good) left hand catch, the big guys would always come to get Eric whenever there was a big game to play. In addition, to baseball, Eric excelled in chest and would challenge the best of them all.
Eric enlisted in The United States Marines in 1980. Eric completed four years of Service and was Honorably Discharged in 1984.
Later in life, Eric met Marica Parker and fathered a beautiful daughter- Erica Patrice Gilmore, whom Eric adored.
Eric and his mother shared a very special mother and son relationship. They were like two peas in a pod. Eric had a way with his grandmother, Josie, who recalls and adored this close love for her. Eric aunts remember him as an outgoing individual, who had a big heart and loved people. Eric would breeze through the house like a whirlwind and put the family into a roar of laughter. The joy of his presence permeated the room even when he was not there.
Although Eric was the only child of Henry and Doris, Eric has a sister, Kim Gilmore, whom he loved very much and she him.
Eric will be greatly missed by all and cherished in the memory of his family and friends especially his mother and daughter. To know him was to love him, Eric's spirit will never die in our hearts,
Eric leaves to cherish loving memories: one daughter, Erica P. Gilmore; one sister, Kim Gilmore; a loving mother, Doris Tally; a stepfather, Siroth; a grandmother, Josie E. Patterson; seven aunts; two uncles; five great-aunts; three great-uncle; other relatives and friends.
