Rodney Allen Burnett, 39, of Bedford, died March 13, 2002, in Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born July 15, 1962 in Lynchburg, a son of Joseph Richard Burnett, Sr. and the late Elva Eunice Allen Burnett Adair. Rodney was a member of Montvale Baptist Church. In addition to his father, he is survived by a very special step-father, Raymond Adair of Hillsville; two brothers, Joseph "Ricky" Burnett, Jr (Miriam) and Rocky Burnette (Lynette); a sister, Dawn Renee Groseclose; nieces and nephews, numerous loving aunts, uncles and cousins. A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. March 16, 20002 in Greenwood Cemetery with the Rev. Tony Ward officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, March 14, 2002, at Vaughn-Guynn-McGrady Funeral Home, Hillsville, and from 7-9 p.m., Friday, March 15, 2002, at Carder-Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford.
