Alta Marie Pomeroy
Alta was born in Kelso, Washington, to
parents Frank and Velma Orrahood, on
May 17, 1930, and passed away on
April 29, 2013. She was preceded in
death by her husband of 59 years,
Wesley J. Pomeroy, who passed away
on July 25, 2011.
Alta was a loving wife, mother, grandmother,
great grandmother. A lifelong homemaker,
she had a love for gardening, and was a
highly skilled seamstress, and her family
considered her the best cook in the
entire world.
Alta is survived by her children: Vicki
McEvoy, Debbi Olson, Steve and Trisha
Pomeroy: grandchildren and great
grandchildren; Chris Olson and Jennifer
Wolf, Jill and Aron Beedle (Adam and
Liam), Andrea Olson (Venita and Evin),
and Nick Olson; sister Helen and Norbert,
John; nices Carrie and Michael Born, Naomi
Bea and Steve Welsbacher; Nephew Martin
and Dawne John; and Alts's loving extended
family and friends.
Alta's family would like to thank the staff of
university Place Care Center for the
wonderful care she received over the last
13 months and for allowing her to get away
bossing them around.
A Celebration of life will be held from 3:00
-6:00pm, in the Oak Room at Mountain
View Funeral Home. Please bring your
