Gertrude Sepe, 93, of Williamsport, died Friday Jan. 3, 2014, at Rose View Center, Williamsport. Her husband, John Sepe, died March 2, 1982.

Born Jan. 27, 1920, in Ceccano, Italy, she was a daughter of the late Phillip and Valentina (Daniboli) Staccone. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a seamstress by Glamorise Foundations, Williamsport.

Surviving is a daughter Carmella (Donald) Fagnano, of Williamsport; a son, John (Peggy) Sepe, of Williamsport; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Phillip (Joni) and Joseph (Donna) Staccone; and a sister Joann (Al) Paucke.


She was preceded in death by sisters, Helen, Connie, Mary, Molly, and brothers Victor, Lewis, Dale, Armond "Dutch," and James.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 702 W. Fourth St., Williamsport. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 9 to 10 a.m., prior to the mass. Interment will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.
