Helen A. Stickler, 91, 1601 S. Q St., died March 10, 2002, at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital. Born March 5, 1911, in Tipton County, she was the daughter of Edward and Mary (Dale) Brown. She married Russell Stickler April 4, 1931. He died in 1963. She was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Elwood. Survivors include five daughters, Mary Cline, Thelma Hobbs and Wanda Roberson, all of Elwood, Shirley Gibson of Kokomo and Norma Jean Becker of Nappanee; five sons, Bob Stickler of Alexandria, John Stickler of Peru, Charlie Stickler and Dick Stickler, both of Lafayette and Gene Stickler of Elwood; a stepsister, Evelyn Walker of Elwood; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and great-great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Dunnichay Funeral Home, with the Rev. Herb Richardsort officiating. Burial will be in Elwood City Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
