Mr. Earl Venice Roberts age 88 of LaFollette passed away Sunday, January 5, 2014. He was a member of Fincastle Church of God, Retired owner/operator of Boone County Backhoe and Plumbing. Preceded in death by wife, Pansy Jordan Roberts in June 2003; special great-granddaughter, Brittany; parents, Joel and Tennessee Lay Roberts; five brothers and six sisters.
Survivors: Daughter, Pauline Roberts of Lake City; Three Sons, Venice Leon Roberts and wife Frances of LaFollette, John H. Roberts and Wife Carol, of Burlington, KY, and Ronnie Roberts Manning and wife Rebecca, of Oliver Springs; 11 Grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren; Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services Wednesday 8 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home Chapel with his Son, Venice Roberts, and Rev. Mike Smith officiating. Family and friends will meet Thursday 1:30 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home and proceed to Woodlawn Cemetery for graveside services and interment. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M.
