Father was killed by a British sniper in August 1779 during the American Revolution, five months before Abraham was born.

Served as Captain of the steamship "Fanny" and others.

First wife Esther Jarvis.

Second wife Grissel Burr, was related to Aaron Burr.

Third wife Finette Edwards.

These ancestral in-laws (Burr and Edwards) are both buried at Princeton Cemetery.
