Norman passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2014. Norman was a resident of Louisville, Kentucky at the time of his passing. He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret. A service honoring the life of Buck will be held Tuesday at Evergreen Funeral Home at 10am with burial to follow at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery. Visitation will start Sunday from 1-8pm at the funeral home and resume Monday from 3-8pm.

Buck proudly retired from the U.S Army and was a long time member of both the Masons and Scottish Rite. He was preceded in death by his dear wife Margaret Burgess and son Mike Burgess. Buck leaves behind to cherish his memory his children Steve Burgess (Josey), Mark Burgess (Evelyn), Nick Burgess (Jackie), Brian Burgess, Donna Minks (Raymond), Sharon White (Fred), Joseph "Shorty" Thompson (Patty), Mary Robinson (Kenneth), Sam Price (Corine), Mary Thompson, Barbara North, and Linda "Marlaine" Little and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
