Jimmy was a member of the Cuba Church of Christ where he served as an Elder for 23 years. He was a retired educator of 33 years, serving as principal of Wingo High School, Cuba Elementary School, and was also the first Athletic Director of Graves County High School. He was also a farmer, and an avid private pilot.
