The body of Mrs. A. D. Laughlin, who died in Cleveland early Tuesday morning, of arteia sclerosis after a brief illness, was brought here Wednesday and taken to the home of Ernest Young on Miami avenue. Mrs. Laughlin was a former Shelby county resident. Her maiden name was Staley and she was a daughter of I. W. Staley, of Perry township. She was almost seventy-eight years of age and was born in Perry township and spent the greater portion of her life in Perry and Jackson townships, this county, and in Logan county.
She was married three times. Her first husband was Benjamin Elliott, of Perry township. To them were born four children, the only one surviving being Joseph C. Elliott, of Cleveland. After the death of Mr. Elliott, she was married to William Stephenson. To them was born one son, Ed Stephenson who lives in Indiana. After Mr. Stephenson's death she was married to David Laughlin and lived at Talbot, Indiana. He died in 1903. For the past four years she had been living in Cleveland.
The funeral services will be held at Cedar Point Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
