"Andrew Yourt, the well known old teamster, died Thursday night of last week from congestion of the lungs resulting from la grippe, after only a few day illness. He was born in Miami county, Ohio, and his age was sixty years, eight months and two days. He served in the 147th Ohio regiment during the rebellion. He was a widower, his wife having died a few years ago. He leaves five children living, all about grown. The funeral was from the M. E. church Sunday afternoon, after services by Elder C. J. Corbin, the affair being in charge of his G.A.R. friends."

"Andrew S. Yourt was born in Miami County, Ohio, July 13th, 1834, died March 15th, 1895, aged 60 years, 8 months, and 2 days. He was a king and affectionate father and a loving brother. He was the father of seven children, five of whom are living. The deceased was a member of the 147th Ohio Vol. Infantry during the late civil war. The funeral services were held at the M. E. Church Sunday afternoon, Elder C. J. Corbin officiating. Interment was made in the Winamac Cemetery."
