Mrs. Martha A. Adair.

Mrs. Martha A. Adair of Edina, Mo., died this morning at 6 o'clock in St. Mary's hospital at the age of 50 years. She was born in Canada July 3, 1870. One son Earl; two brothers, Charles and Joseph Kirk all of Edina survive. The remains will be sent to Edina for burial.

Mrs. Alice Adair Died Yesterday in Quincy—Burial Friday.

Mrs. Martha Alice Adair, sister of J. M. and C. H. Kirk here, died at 6 o'clock yesterday morning at St. Mary's Hospital in Quincy, where she was taken a month ago following the breaking of her hip when she fell about ten weeks ago, since when she has been confined to her bed. Death resulted from a complication of diseases which followed an attack of the measles five years ago, and caused her to be an invalid.
Her body was brought here yesterday evening by her brother, J. M. Kirk, to his home, and the funeral services will be conducted from there at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon by Rev. E. C. Wright and Rev. S. E. Botsford. Burial will be in the Mt. Carmel cemetery.
One son, Pearl Adair, of south of town, and the two brothers, J. M. and C. H. Kirk of Edina, survive, besides many other relatives.
Mrs. "Allie" Adair, as she was best known, was born July 3, 1870, near Cimcoe, Canada, and was one of the eleven children of James and Martha Kirk. She came to Knox County in 1871 with her parents and settled on the Kirk home farm, south of town, which has since been her home, until she was taken to the hospital.
Her son and brother, J. M. Kirk, were in Quincy to see her Sunday when it was expected she would not live. She had been a member of the M. E. Church for a number of years.
