PIEDMONT, W.Va.
Robert William Gift, 56, of 41 Third St., Piedmont, passed away Friday, Aug. 28, 2009 at his residence.

Born Feb. 25, 1953 in Westernport, Md., he was the son of the late Wayne and Gladys (Morton) Gift.

Mr. Gift was a United States Air Force veteran, having served during the Vietnam War. He lived in Alaska most of his adult life until recently moving back to the Tri-Towns.

He leaves behind his wife, Barbara Jean (Steward) Gift; two brothers, Richard Gift and wife Shirley of Oldtown, Md. and Gary Gift and wife Janice of Westernport; a sister, Margaret Paugh of Westernport; and a niece, Nancy High of Bridgeport, W.Va.

At Mr. Gift’s request, his body was cremated.

There are no services planned at this time.

Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, was in charge of arrangements.
