Norman E. Hall was born on March 29, 1912 to George and Etta (Pugh) Hall at Bottineau, ND where he was reared and educated, graduating from Bottineau High School. He worked for the Phillips 66 Station in Bottineau for several years.

On May 7, 1931, Norman was united in marriage to Gladys A. Larson in Bottineau. In 1941, the family moved to Devils Lake and Norman worked as the manager of Western Auto Parts for 36 years. During those 36 years, some of his time was spent managing the Western Auto Part Stores in Grand Forks and Fargo. In 1977, Norman retired and they made their home in Devils Lake for the remaining years. Gladys passed away on July 30, 2000.

Norman was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church, the Devils Lake Elks Lodge, Kiwanis and the Town and Country Club. Norman really enjoyed the game of golf for many years. He truly enjoyed just being outdoors and spent many hours grooming his yard. He was a devoted husband and father and worked very hard to provide for his family. He left a legacy of faith and love and devotion for family.

Norman is survived by his children: Beverly Lee and her husband, Don Arlouise Nyland and her husband, John all of Devils Lake Keith Hall and his wife, Janice of Shalimar, Florida Fourteen Grandchildren Forty-One Great Grandchildren Sixteen Great Great Grandchildren Brothers: Clarence and Archie Hall Sisters: Florence Trebis, Zelma Brandvold and Alta Brandvold He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Gladys; daughter-in-law, Judy Hall; sisters, Mary Helen Bliss and Lillian Solvig; brothers, Charles, Armand and Wallace Hall.
