OBITUARY APPEARED TUESDAY JANUARY 21, 1986; A. HELEN GROOVER; BRISTOL- A. Helen Groover, 96, died Monday in the Neshaminy Manor Home, Warrington, Pa. Born in Milford, Miss Groover was a resident of Trenton and spent most of her life in Morrisville. She moved to Bristol 12 years ago. A graduate of Trenton Central High School and a 1910 graduate of the Philadelphia School of Nursing, she served on the nursing staff of McKinley Hospital (now Helen Fuld Medical Center), St. Francis Medical Center and Mercer Medical Center. Most recently, Miss Groover was a registered nurse with the late Dr. Fox of Morrisville, and did private duty nursing until she was 80 years of age. Daughter of the late Jacob and Anne E. White Groover, she is survived by four nieces, Katherine Groover and Helen Danberry, both of Trenton, Elvira Papp of New Egypt, and Marion Groover of Upper Black Eddy, Pa.; and a nephew, Harold Groover of Newtown, Pa. Funeral services will be 9 a.m. Thursday from the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in Holy Trinity Church, Morrisville. Burial will follow in Upper Tinicum Cemetery, Upper Tinicum Township, Pa. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel.
