Marriage to Thomas Buckle June 20th, 1868

Mrs. Thomas Buckle Dead. Emily Buckle, widow of Thomas Buckle, died at her home in Summit Street, Norwich. Saturday afternoon, following an illness of about a week. She was born in Norwich and passed practically all her life there. She was united in marriage with Ronald McAllister, who was killed in a runaway accident in Broadway, 14 years ago. Her family one time resided in Greeneville and Mrs. Buckle was a member of the old Methodist Episcopal church in North Main street. One son by her first marriage, Samuel McAllister, of this city, and five children by her second marriage, Mrs. Frank Nelson of Norwich, Mrs. Annie Keene of Providence. Mrs. Emily Reynolds, Miss Sarah Buckle and Henry Buckle survive her. Norwich Bulletin.


Note, there are errors in the obit, her husband Ronald McAllister was killed in Cold Harbor, VA during the civil war. Her second husband Thomas Buckle was the one that died 14 years previous in a runaway accident on Broadway
