Mary L. Hinds, 67, of Pennsboro died Friday, Jan. 6, 2006, at Marietta.

She was born Feb. 27, 1938, at Lizzie's Roost in Ritchie County, the daughter of the late Isaac N. and Nora Jewell Dawson.
Mrs. Hinds was a homemaker, a member of the National Federation of Republican Women and attended St. Mary's Church of Christ, St. Marys, W.Va.
Mary is survived by her husband of 50 years, John J. Hinds; one daughter, Bonita M. Heard of Pennsboro; three sisters, Alice Sloneker of Canton, Ohio, Betty Riggs of Pennsboro and Mabel Haught of Alma, W.Va.; one brother, Cecil Dawson of Charles Town, W.Va.; two grandchildren, Ruie Heard Pisoni of Port Orchard, Wash., and Audrey Heard Caldwell of Dairy, Pa.; and four great-grandchildren, Dillon Shue, Jackson Caldwell, Joey Pisoni and Josh Pisoni.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hinds was preceded in death by one son, John Joseph Hinds; three brothers, Denver, Eddie and Emery Dawson; and one sister, June Hamrick.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the McCullough-Rogers Funeral Home, Pennsboro, with Pastor Sam Crites and Brother Frank Simons officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Hebron, W.Va. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Monday and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
