Anton Seidl (Tony), 89, died Sunday morning March 2, 2008 at the Kewaunee Care Center. He was born in Enterprise, WI on June 4, 1918, the 9th child of 13 to the late Henry and Barbara (Rank) Seidl. After high school he worked in the logging industry in the Rhinelander area with his brothers. He worked on farms and eventually worked his way to the Luxemburg area. This is where he met Verna Hafeman and they were married on December 30, 1944. She died on April 12, 1979. He bought a farm on the River Road in Kewaunee in 1952 and also worked at Leyse's Aluminum in Kewaunee for 34 years, retiring in 1981. He enjoyed his daily crossword puzzles and trips to the Kewaunee Senior Center. He was a long time parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and also St. Hedwig's in East Krok. He enjoyed his family and telling jokes to all who'd listen. He is survived by two sons, two daughters, 16 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, three sisters and many nieces and nephews.
