Thelma L. Long Jones, 94, of Paris passed away Saturday, January 11, 2014 in Paris Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 14, 2014 in the chapel of Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home with Patrick Cannon officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 7:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.

She was born on October 18, 1919 in Sumner, Texas a daughter of C. Isaac and Callie Donny Harvey/Brackeen Long. She was a homemaker and a member of Bonham St. Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband Archie Ray Jones whom she married on July 13, 1935 in Paris; son Gerald Ray Jones ; siblings David Long, Charlie Long, her twin Elmer Long, and Gertrude Turner.

Survivors include her grandchildren Jana Jones Ladd of Alvarado and Lisa Jones of Arnold, Missouri and great-grandchildren Summer Hope Ladd, Nicholas Scott Ladd, Hailey Starr Soutiea and Shane Ray Jumper.

Honorary pallbearers will be Shane Jumper, Richard Turner, Billy Long, Larry Long, Harry Cunningham, and Nicholas Ladd.
