Hattie Welker, 82, a Barstow resident for 65 years, passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2014. Hattie was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico and lived there until she met and married William (Bill) Welker in 1949. They moved to Barstow where they both worked for their family-owned business, Welker Plumbing. Hattie was a homemaker and bookkeeper.
Hattie was preceded in death by her husband, William Welker. Left to cherish her memory are three daughters, Carol Mauk and husband Bob, Dianne Patty and Deborah Walker; also, eight grandchildren, Taylor and Trevor Mauk; Heather, Kim and Vincent Patty; Bryan Morgan, Sheree Stark and Jennifer Walker. She also leaves ten great grandchildren.
Graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at Mountain View Memorial Park, Barstow. Donations in Hattie's name can be made to the Barstow Humane Society.
