A funeral Mass for
Carolyn E. McLochlin,
84, of Logansport, will
be held at 10 a.m.
Wednesday in All
Saints Catholic Church.
She died at 6:23
p.m. Sunday, July 18,
1999, in Chase Center.
Born Dec. 8,1914,
in Logansport, she was
the daughter of
Benjamin and Elizabeth
Deck Sturgeon. On
Sept. 9,1936, also in Logansport, she
was married to John Edward McLochlin,
who died March 3,1953.
Mrs. McLochlin was a member of All
Saints Catholic Church, the All Saints
Ladies Society, the Elderberries and
the Daughters of Isabella.
A member of the International Ladies
Garment Workers Union, she retired in
1977 after 40 years of employment at
the H.W. Gossard Co.
Mrs. McLochlin was an avid fan of Notre
Dame University football.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in
-law, James Edward and Sherrill McLochlin,
Louisville, Ky., and Patrick Joseph and
Rita McLochlin, Logansport; one sister,
Catherine Angle, Logansport; five grand-
children, Mark McLochlin, Janet Berg,
David McLochlin, Scott McLochlin
and Layne Wine; eight great-grandchildren
and several nieces and nephews.
One brother, Lawrence Sturgeon, and two
sisters, Lucille Geier and Julia Ball,
preceded in death.
Father Donald Gross will officiate at the
services. Burial will be in Mount Calvary
Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, in
Kroeger Funeral Home, where the rosary will
be recited at 7 p.m., followed by a Daughters
of Isabella service.
Memorial contributions may be made to All
Saints Catholic School.
