SSgt Mathew Logan Adams (1980 - 2008) of Cumming, Ga., on active duty with the US Air Force at Shaw AFB, Sumter, SC died on September 11, 2008. He served two tours of duty in Afghanistan, was stationed in Germany for five years and was on current assignment at Shaw AFB.
Mathew is survived by his beloved wife, Jenny Adams of Sacramento, CA; children, Dulcie and Damian Adams; parents, Ed & Linda Adams of Cumming, GA and Ed and Lisa McAdory of Dawsonville, GA; grandmothers, Norine Adams of Grafton, WI and Suzanne LaMonthe of Atlanta, GA; uncles, aunts and cousins; and his Air Force family.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home. The Rev. Steve Jackson will officiate. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at Shaw AFB in Sumter, SC. The family will receive visitors on Monday, September 15, 2008 from 6:00 - 9:00 pm at the funeral home.
