During the late 1950’s and 1960’s the Boat Club water ski troop presented many ski shows at the river front of Star Zenith. He was honored as a 60 year member of the Star Zenith Boat Club at the annual commodores dinner held at the boat club on May 3, 2007. The Beloit Chamber of Commerce was a sponsor of Beloit Aqua Jays and many events were held at Star Zenith such as Ski Shows, Hawaiian Luau, boat races, Venetian boat parade moonlight dance on the island. At the May 7, 2011 Commodores dinner, Clinton was honored with the Voigt Lifetime Contribution Award in recognition of his 64 years of his contributions and serving as club historian for 42 years.
