Paul Kim Adams, age 59, of Newark, DE, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday January 10, 2014. He was a 1972 graduate of Christiana High School in Newark where he captained the football team and excelled in track and field. After high school, he attended The University of Delaware and began his family. Kim had 40 years of service at DuPont, the last 36 years at the Edgemoor Plant.

Kim was man of many interests and talents but most importantly he was known for ability to light up any room with his humor and laughter. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends which included fishing with his father and brothers on their annual Cape Hatteras trips; taking frequent trips to Los Angeles, CA to visit his two sons, daughters in-law and grandchildren; attending events with his wife and daughters, and friends that included dancing and karaoke; and golfing with his sons, son in-law, brothers and friends.

When he was not with friends or family he enjoyed gardening, watching the Philadelphia Eagles, working in his garage, cooking, reading and grocery shopping.

Kim was preceded in death by his parents, Paul S. and Carolyn Adams of Newark, DE. He is survived by his wife, Josephine W. Adams; children, Paul Benjamin Adams (Bettina), Justin Kirby Adams (Tomoko), Eleanor Kasee Adams, Lindsay Adams Conway (Brian), Carly Adams, Ashley Adams and Shelby Adams. He was also survived by his six grandchildren, Kendal, Kaitlin, Cameron, Elaine, Justin and Jacob; three brothers, Kyle Adams (Diane), Kerry Adams and Keith Adams; five sisters, Karen Valentine (Jack), Kathleen Gill (Larry), Kelli Sellers (Ed), Katrina Gilardi (Mike) and Kecia McEntee (Bob); and 17 nieces and nephews

Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 15th from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Beeson Funeral Home, 2053 Pulaski Highway, Newark, DE. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 16th at 11:00am at Holy Family Church, 15 Gender Rd., Newark, DE, where family and friends may visit from 9:30 to 10:30am. Burial will be in All Saint Cemetery, Wilmington, DE, following the Mass.
