Betty Jean (Mayfield) McDonald was born June 12, 1928 to William and Othella Mayfield in Hubbard, Texas. She graduated from Hubbard High School and began her employment at Southwestern Bell Telephone where she was employed for over 36 years. She was married to Guy Lloyd McDonald who preceeded her in death in 2007. Betty Jean lived in Dallas most of her life but moved to South Pasadena, Florida with Lloyd her husband in 1993 when both had retired. She remained a resident of South Pasadena until 2012 when illness (Parkinson's Disease) forced her to move back to Texas near her family. She became a resident of the Hurst Plaza Nursing Home in March of 2012 and resided there until her death. She is survived by her Brother J.W. Mayfield, and wife Sandy of Bedford, Tx ; her sister Kathryn Moore of Dallas and several nieces and nephew. Betty was interred by her husband Lloyd at Black Hills Cemetery on Januray 16, 2014.
