Thomas C Brindley was born in Blount County, Alabama, the son of Winston Yancy Brindley & Elizabeth Holmes-Brindley; the grandson of Mace T P Brindley & Nancy Hanby.
Thomas attended Howard College, in Birmingham. He was in the Navy during WWI 1917-1919. After the war he attended the U of Wisconsin and the Oshkosh, WI Normal School where he met his future wife Ella Anger. Thomas & Ella married on 6/17/1925 at the Anger home in Oshkosh, WI. Ella was the d/o RB Anger & local jeweler and Augusta Thews-Anger. Following their wedding, Thomas and Ella resided in Memphis where Thomas taught and coached football at the South Side HS. He later took a position as principal at Humes High School in Memphis where one of his students during the 1950's was Elvis Presley.
Thomas & Ella did not have any children. Ella died of breast cancer in 1959. I recall from my childhood, Holiday visits when Aunt Ella & Uncle Tom would travel from TN to WI for special celebrations. Following Ella's death, Thomas married Margaret Lickey. Thomas is buried next to Margaret.

Karen Parker Galvin, niece of Ella Anger Brindley and Thomas C Brindley.
