Alberta L. "Bert" Madison, 66, of Providence Forge, beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister and Cousin, departed this life to be with other loved ones on Tuesday, May 27, 2008. She was preceded in death by her son, Douglas A. Madison; and a brother, Warren J. Wing. She is survived by her beloved and devoted husband of 39 years, Williams S. Madison Jr.; one brother, Kenneth C. Wing of Perry, Ga.; one maternal cousin, Dorothy C. Wing-Linardy of Parkton, N.C.; several other persons in Ohio and Massachusetts who were thought of as cousins; her daughters, Jeannette M. Allen of Johnson City, Tenn., Pamela A. Madison of Caret, Va., and Elizabeth A. Madison of Quinton, Va.; one son, William S. Madison III of Quinton, Va.; grandchildren, Jeremy S. Walden, Susan N. Madison -Torres, Jason M. Allen, Joseph M. Allen, Kenneth M. Bridgeman, Hope E. West, Cody R. Nowell, Tyler J. Martin, Allison N. Madison and William D. Madison ; and numerous great-grandchildren. Her family will receive friends and relatives at the Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 29, 2008. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 30, 2008, 12 noon, at Trinity Episcopal Church, 501 West Nine Mile Road, Highland Springs, Va. 23075, with interment to follow at Washington Memorial Park. There will be a reception to follow at Trinity Episcopal Church immediately following the interment for all family and friends.

Mrs. Madison was a retired restaurateur who had owned the Seven Pines and Old Home Place eateries.
