Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 4, in Winfield. Burial was in the Glen Oak Cemetery, West Chicago, Illinois.
Orville George Hessler was born January 5, 1914, in Cicero, the son of Otto and Estelle (Horn) Hessler. He received his education in the Cicero schools. He graduated from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Illinois in 1935. He married Lois Alida Haynie on June 15, 1935, in Waukegan. They made their home in Owensboro, Kentucky. They were the parents of two sons, Richard and Robert. Orville and Lois were later divorced and he moved back to Chicago. He married Thelma Walene Logsdon in 1947. They were the parents of one son, Mark.
Surviving are his wife, Thelma; three sons, Richard (Trina) Hessler Sr., of Huntsville, AL, Robert (Elizabeth) Hessler of Oregon and Mark Hessler of Chicago; four grandchildren; one sister, Helen (Kenneth) Reeve of Midlothia, VA; and one brother, Robert Hessler of Wheaton.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Evelyn Hessler, in infancy,
