courtesy of Arizona Daily Star (Jan. 15, 2014):

Steven Dale Copple was born on June 14, 1943, in Berkeley, California, the youngest child of William and Rowena (Tucker) Copple.

He passed away on January 4, 2014.

The family moved to Yuma, Arizona, home of the Copple grandparents, in 1951.

Attending college at the University of Arizona, Steven earned a BS degree in 1965 and a JD in 1969 and was then admitted to the Arizona bar, following in the footsteps of his father and brother.

Steve began his well-respected law career as a defense attorney and later became a plaintiff's lawyer, which became his life's work. He joined the firm of Black, Robertshaw & Copple and then formed the law firm of Copple, Chamberlin, Boehm & Murphy before opening the office of Copple & Copple where he loved practicing law with his son. Steve loved his work; he loved being a lawyer and helping people. Anyone who knew him knew he loved to laugh and was a fun, kind, and compassionate man. I think the most joy and fun Steve had was when he and his son opened the law firm of Copple & Copple. The cruelest part of losing Steve is that it happened so quickly, but we will never forget him.
